Halima R. is in her early 50s and is married with 10 children. For the past 10 years, she has been quarrying. She works from 7 am to 6 pm and makes a profit of approximately $33 per day. This is Halima's first loan with Tujijenge Tanzania and she would like to use the loan to buy more stone. Halima is a member of the Bega Kwa Bega Group (in Kiswahili, this means standing shoulder to shoulder). The 17 members of the group will hold each other accountable in repaying the loan.
