Sebastiana's story

Sra. Sebastiana is a member of the Communal Bank “Corazon de Jesus de Ccatccapampa”, which is located in the District of Ocongate in Quispicanchis Province, Department of Cusco.

She is 38 years old, married, and has three children. Sebastiana earns her living from making handicrafts. She buys alpaca and sheep’s wool and gives it a good cleaning. Afterwards, she turns it into spools of thread for making hand woven articles. Sebastiana uses traditional techniques that were passed down from her Incan ancestors. She produces blankets, covers, scarves, belts, socks, sweaters, ponchos, and other handmade items. Sebastiana is requesting a loan to buy wool and vegetable dyes for coloring the wool used in her weaving.

She appreciates and values the loan that has been provided. Therefore, she promises to complete her payments by the established deadlines.
