Karin Pilar belongs to Asociación Arariwa's “Juntas y Unidas” (Together and United) community bank in the city of Cusco. She lives in the same city. Cusco is a charming city which dates back to the time of the Incas. It is built on the site of the ancient Inca city.

Karin Pilar is 36 years old. She is married and has two children from her marriage. Her main business activity is selling building materials such as sand, gravel and plaster. Her business is located in the district of San Sebastián where she can be found every day from 7 in the morning until 6 in the evening. She has been in this business for several years and it is going very well thanks to the great effort which she puts into her work. Karin Pilar is a hard-working and responsible woman who is getting her family ahead in life. With the loan which she hopes to receive for $300 USD, she would like to increase her business and buy building materials such as sand, gravel, etc.
