Victoria's story

Victoria is a member of the communal bank called "Juntas y Unidas", (Together and United), an association in the city of Cusco where she lives. Cusco is a charming city from the time of the ancient Incas. Victoria is 58 years old and a single parent to her 4 children. Victoria has a few small businesses selling cosmetics and fabrics. She sells her products to her friends, neighbors and acquaintances, who all pay her at the end of each month. It's been several years now since she's run her businesses and things have been going well thanks to the effort she puts into her work. Victoria is a hardworking and responsible mother. With the new loan, she plans to grow her businesses by purchasing more cosmetics and wool for her fabrics. Victoria appreciates the opportunity the communal bank provides to her, and she commits to comply with her payment schedule.
