She does stitching work to bear the financial burden with her husband. She receives orders from her neighboring areas and fills the order on time to earn income for the family.

Her husband is a private entrepreneur and involved in a food-selling business. He sells a dish named "Gol Gapay" which is very famous among people here. It has a round shape and is made with flour and served with chilly sauces and yogurt. Because of its spicy taste people loves to eat it. He visits different streets of the city with his four-wheeled cart to sell the food. Nasira also helps her husband in preparing the dish so he sells a good quantity every day.

Nasira is a mother of 4 sons. Two of them are enrolled in school while the other two stay at home. Nasira wants to provide education to her remaining two sons also for which reason she works very hard along with her husband. She has applied for a loan from Kiva partner, Asasah for her husband’s business. He will invest the loan in purchasing required items such as spices, cooking oil, yogurt and flour in bulk quantity to improve his sales. He has been doing this business for over 20 years and Nasira is hopeful that this investment will bring more profit for her husband.

She is a regular loan user of Asasah and this is her 2nd loan application. In the previous loan year, she has built up a good credit record and attended every meeting.

Note: In the photo, the lady who holds a book (called Asasah Passbook) in her hands is Nasira.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
