Elmira's story

Elmira A. lives in Sokuluk village and is the single mother of two girls. Elmira works as a hairdresser, but her salary is low and does not cover all of her family expenses. Therefore, in 2005, Elmira started a business to create an additional means of income. She converted one of the rooms in her flat into a small shop and started selling groceries. Elmira is requesting a loan of 60,000 KGS to use to expand the assortment of goods she offers for sale. With the revenue from the loan she plans to provide a good education for her children.
