Sop Mame Diarra Group's story

The Sop Mame Diarra Solidarity group was created on 28 March 2007. It is composed of 11 women, all from the same locality, who formed their group through familial relations. The solidarity group is a member of the Village Loan fund of Thieckene-Louga.

Ms. Marèma D., dressed in black and standing on the right in the photo, is responsible for the group. She is 43 years old, married, and is the mother of 5 children who are in her care.

Her principal activity is sheep-rearing. She also processes and sells peanut oil.

With this loan, she is going to strengthen her business in order to increase her income.

Her goal is to support her husband and strengthen her savings.
