Manko Group's story

The Manko Solidarity group was created on 28 March 2007. It is composed of 6 women, all of whom come from the same village. They formed their group through familial and local relations. The group is a member of the Village Loan fund of Thieckene-Louga.

Ms. Penda S., in the dark blue scarf on the right side of the photo, is responsible for the group. She is 58 years old, married, and has 5 children.

Her main activity is sheep-rearing. On the side, she also processes and sells peanut oil.

With this new loan, she is going to buy a ram and peanuts for her business.

Her goal is to support her husband in providing for the family.
