Sop Aladji Bara Group's story

The SOP ALADJI BARA solidarity group was created on March 28, 2007. It is composed of nine women living in the same village. They came together through proximity and affinity. The group belongs to the Banc Villageois THIECKENE-LOUGA.

Mrs. Dieumb D., standing at the right of the photo, is the head of the group. She is 25 years old, and married without children. She started the activity of sheep fattening when she first joined the Banc Villageois.

With her new loan of 200,000FCFA, she plans to buy five sheep and some livestock feed to fatten the animals prior to resale at the local weekly markets.

Her goal is to support her husband with the household expenses.
