A loan of $550 helped to buy equipment and supplies for making improvements to her hair-dressing salon.

María Zoila's story

María Zoila is 32 years old. She is single and doesn't have any dependent children. She lives with her parents in the village of Sasape Viejo in the district of Túcume, a farming and tourist region which is in the province of Lambayeque, approximately one hour from the city of Chiclayo.

She has been running a hairdressing salon for ten years in rented premises located in the main town of Túcume. There she offers her customers hair-cutting services, perms, hair coloring, etc. Her business has a lot of customers owing to the amount of time she has been in the trade and the quality of her work.

She would like to acquire some equipment and supplies which will enable her to improve the quality of her customer service and improve her business. This is why she is requesting her first loan from Edpyme Alternativa for 1,500 nuevos soles.

María is quite a determined woman who is committed to her work. The income which she earns from her business is used to cover her personal expenses and help with her family's finances. Her greatest wish is to get ahead in order to help her parents and improve their standard of living.
