Paula Genara's story

Paula is a member of the "Santiago Patron" community bank, located in the Santiago D. Pupuja district, Azangaro province, Puno department. She is 46 years old, is married and has six children (4 adults). She studied up until fifth year of elementary school.

Paula has been working with the Manuela Ramos community bank for three years. The first loan requested was for 300 new soles, which was used to increase the capital of her business selling meat, cornstarch and potatoes.

She will request a new loan for the sum of 3,000 new soles which will be invested in purchasing meat, cornstarch and potatoes for her business.

Her dream is to have a car to transport her products.

What she likes most about her community bank is the ease of the loans, the meetings and the talks.
