Our members belong to the Kantu de San Jeronimo communal bank and live in Cuzco. The communal bank is in its 6th cycle, approximately 2 years of work, and the board of directors is composed of David, the President, Maribel, the Secretary, Fausto, the treasurer, and Silvia the auditor.

Some of the members alternate their various activities at home with the sale of cellular phones and food, while other members offer services, for example, car repair, furniture making, teaching, transportation and tourism guides.

Maribel is 34 years old, and wakes up very early to tend to her two children and her husband. After that she is dedicated solely to her business. Maribel has an internet stand and phone booth in her home. She also sells cellular phones, offers a calling service, and sells food. She has been working at this business for several years and has done very well because of the effort she puts into her work. Maribel needs a loan to maintain her internet stand.

The members value and appreciate the loans received through this service, and are also committed to making their payments on time.

Nuestros socios, pertenecen al banco comunal “Kantu de San Jeronimo” y viven en la ciudad del Cusco. El banco comunal esta en el sexro ciclo aproximadamente 2 años de trabajo y la junta directiva está conformada por el señor David que es el presidente, la señora Maribel que es la secretaria, el señor Fausto que es tesorero y la señora Silvia que es la fiscal.

Algunos de nuestros socios alternan sus diversas actividades del hogar con la venta de celulares, venta de comestibles y otros socios brindas servicios como por ejemplo; arreglo de carros, fabricación de muebles metálicos, enseñanza, transporte de pasajeros y guía de turismo.

La socia Maribel tiene 34 años y se levanta muy temprano para atender a sus dos hijos y su esposo y después se dedica exclusivamente a sus negocios. Maribel tiene una cabina de internet y un locutorio en su domicilio, ella también se dedica a la venta de celulares, a brinda servicio de llamadas y a la venta de productos nutricionales. Ya son varios años que se dedica a los negocios y le ha ido muy bien gracias al empeño que pone en su trabajo. La socia Mónica requiere el préstamo para hacer mantenimiento de la cabina de internet.

Los socios valoran y agradecen el préstamo otorgado mediante este medio y así mismo se comprometen a cumplir con el pago de sus cuotas en el plazo establecido.

About Asociación Arariwa
Asociación Arariwa is a large non-governmental organization that started offering microcredit in 1994 to improve the quality of life, skills and equity of the population in the rural Cusco region of Peru. Arariwa serves the southern Andean provinces of Peru, and is distinguished by its efforts to reach the very poor, who often live in isolated rural areas. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee.
