A loan of $3,450 helped a member to maintain the internet stand.

Kantu De San Jeronimo Group's story

Our members belong to the Kantu de San Jeronimo communal bank and live in Cuzco. The communal bank is in its 6th cycle, approximately 2 years of work, and the board of directors is composed of David, the President, Maribel, the Secretary, Fausto, the treasurer, and Silvia the auditor.

Some of the members alternate their various activities at home with the sale of cellular phones and food, while other members offer services, for example, car repair, furniture making, teaching, transportation and tourism guides.

Maribel is 34 years old, and wakes up very early to tend to her two children and her husband. After that she is dedicated solely to her business. Maribel has an internet stand and phone booth in her home. She also sells cellular phones, offers a calling service, and sells food. She has been working at this business for several years and has done very well because of the effort she puts into her work. Maribel needs a loan to maintain her internet stand.

The members value and appreciate the loans received through this service, and are also committed to making their payments on time.
