San Antonio Poty Group's story

The San Antonio Poty Committee is an excellent committee formed on December 22, 2008 by 19 women from Capiata. They now find themselves working happily in the 6th cycle of the Committee's Program of Enterprising Women.

The members of this group plan to use the loan for various activities, such as: purchase of ingredients for food preparation, jewelry, fruit, coal, notions, clothing, natural remedies, fabric, meat, other foodstuffs, and ice cream. It is a very active group, and all its members demonstrate comradeship and solidarity, attend the monthly meetings, and collect money for the common good of the group.

Mrs. Lourdes, one of the members, works selling clothing, which she has done for some time. Since the spring-summer season has begun, she wants to increase the stock that she possesses, keeping in mind the proximity of the end of the year and the demand she expects because of these festivities.

She wants to increase her income lowering the price of her merchandise, acquiring large quantities for sale at retail and by installments.

In this group: Lourdes, Rita, Dominga, Ana, Mirian, María, María, Antonia, Castorina, Sofía, Zoraida, Francisca, Casilda, María*, Valeriana, Isidora*, Elisa*
