A loan of $800 helped medicine.

Mercy Maria's story

Mercy is 42 years old, and she has a small pharmacy near her house. She lives in Primavera de Duran (an area located in the outskirts of Guayaquil).

From a young age, Mercy was familiar with medication since her father is a doctor. When she became an adult and had her children, she decided to start her own business. At present, she has a pharmacy, which sells medicines, diapers, and drinks. She works alone from 8 in the morning until 2 in the afternoon. In the pharmacy, she sells aspirin for $0.25 per unit, diapers for $0.40 per unit, and syrup for $4.50.

With this loan, she wants to buy medicine for her pharmacy so that she has more variety in her store. In the future, she wants to finish building her house and move her pharmacy to another area to increase her earnings.
