A loan of $400 helped buy wholesale supplies of seafood for resale.

Carlos Alberto's story

Don Carlos operates a seafood business. He lives in Jiquilisco, a town in the Salvadoran "departamento" of Usulutan. He is 50 years old and married with four children who range in age from 9- to 25-years old. He operates the business with his wife and they have run it for 8 years now. They travel to other towns to sell, looking for new markets and calculating which are best for sales.
Don Carlos is applying for a loan because he wants to buy wholesale supplies of seafood. For him, the loan offers a way to increase his sales and grow the business. His goal is not just to increase sales, but to establish a stable and prosperous business so that he can improve the lives of his children and the rest of the family.
