Mbande Group's story

Mwajuma V. is in her mid thirties. She is married and has one son. For the past two years she has been running her own pharmacy. The pharmacy is open between 7:30 am and 9:30 pm and earns Mwajuma a good monthly profit.

This will be Mwajuma's 2nd motisha loan with Tujijenge Tanzania. A Mothisha loan is a product offered by Tujijenge Tanzania that allows borrowers with good credit ratings to pay back their original loans faster and receive extra money before their original loan term has ended. Mwajuma used her first loan to increase her stock of medicine, a loan which she has successfully repaid. With her second loan, Mwajuma aims to once again increase her stock of medicine.

Mwajuma will share this loan will her loan group, Mbande, which totals 8 members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable for repaying the loans.
