Minazini Group's story

Mariam R. is in her early twenties and is married with one son. She has been running a small grocery store since 2007, from which she sells various products such as soda, juice, mobile phone vouchers etc. The shop is open between 6 am and 9 pm and earns Mariam a low monthly profit.

This will be Mariam's second loan with Tujijenge Tanzania. Mariam used her first loan to increase her stock of goods, a loan which she has now successfully repaid. With her second loan, Mariam aims to once again increase her business by expanding her stock, and introducing some new products.

Mariam will share this loan with her loan group Minazin, which totals 16 members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable for repaying the loans.
