Bwenda Katukore Group, Ibanda's story

It is now 6 years down the road since A. Donesia of Bwenda Katukore group, Ibanda, started up her farming project and specialized in making banana sales in Bwenda, Ibanda, western Uganda. With this as her main source of livelihood, she has painstakingly managed to make ends meet albeit with some seasonal income fluctuations and poor road systems to access bigger markets.

With a strong work ethic and ready market, the 42 year old married and cheerful mother of 6 children has kept her business on a steady growth. In a month, she makes 160,000 Ugandan shillings. Her business is gaining ground over these years and has meant that her family has benefited.
