Meliora A. is from the town of Veruela. She is 31 years old. Meliora is married and has a 13-year-old child. To make a living, Meliora owns & operates a business venture in the agriculture sector raising crops. While not the only means for generating revenue, the main source of income for the business comes from planting and harvesting rice for sale. Meliora also makes food that she sells around their neighborhood. She makes "puto" (rice cake) and other kinds of delicacies.
Meliora joined CEVI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Meliora has successfully repaid a previous loan from CEVI. Meliora is requesting a new loan of 8000 PHP which will be used to purchase fertilizers, seeds and other farm supplies. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to supplement the family's income.
