A loan of $550 helped purchase of basic products and groceries to expand her small grocery store.

María's story

María is a 39 year-old mother who lives with her husband and children in the Poste Blanco neighborhood of Paiján district in the province of Ascope, in the region of L. Libertad, more than two and a half hours from the city of Chiclayo, capital of the Lambayeque region.

María sells groceries in a store located in her own home. She offers her customers a range of basic products with a friendly service which means that she always has a stable customer base. The business has allowed her to help her husband contribute to the family's finances.

María would like to expand her business with the purchase of more goods so that she can satisfy her customers' demands. For this reason she has requested a loan of 1,500 nuevos soles from Edpyme Alternativa to help her achieve her goal.

María's biggest wish is to continue growing as a businesswoman and to help her family to improve their standard of living. The people who know her consider her to be a friendly and helpful woman.
