Patricia Marlene's story

Ms. Patricia Días is a member of the María Reina de la Paz ["Queen Mary of Peace"] Communal Bank. She lives in the Totoracoha area of Cuenca, a city known for the beauty of its historic center. Cuenca has several tourist attractions that can be found a short distance from the city, as well as a great variety of gastronomy. Cuenca is special because of its people, who carry on its culture and tradition.

Ms. Patricia is 42 years old, married, and her husband is an industrial engineer. They have had three children together, who are currently in school. Ms. Patricia has a store in her house, which she has run for seven years. She tends her store every day, without resting for even one day. She does not have a fixed schedule. She has been a member of the communal bank for eight years and is very happy with it because it means that she meets with her friends every 15 days. She will use this loan to purchase products for her store, such as: rice, sugar, oil, candy, etc. Her dream is to see her children finish their schooling.
