5 De Febrero Group's story

The February 5th Group is located in the State of México and consists of thirteen members. One of them is Sra. Yadira H. M., age 30. She indicates that she studied for a business degree in order to become an assistant accountant. Her husband, German de Jesus, has worked as a mason for approximately five years. His income helped support their young children, ages 8 and 3, until she decided to start working.

Yadira currently has a pottery business and will use her loan to buy materials so that she can continue selling her wares. This type of business is a family tradition among many of her relatives as a means of supporting themselves. She intends to generate more income. Yadira says that prior this business, she engaged in different activities such as selling toys and trinkets. Her vision has always been to provide her young children with the opportunity to access a university education.
