Ilusión. Group's story

This group is called ILUSIÓN ("hope"). It consists of 9 women from Tlaxcala, which has recently grown thanks to the great economic boom that has occurred as a result of the creation of new businesses and factories. The members of the group decided to call themselves Ilusión because thanks to their city's economic growth they've had more reason to hope that their businesses will prosper and they'll be able to improve their families' quality of life.

Eva Sánchez is the treasurer of the group. She was elected to this office because she's very responsible and skilled in business. She makes woven products from worsted yarn, such as berets, scarves and fashionable bags with borders. She makes them and sells them to acquaintances. She currently sells to customers who then sell her products in boutiques and accessory shops. This job is every important to her economically because she's not able to perform another activity because her daughter has special needs and requires her attention.

Eva is preparing to make some hand-maD. products and she plans, with the help of her daughter, to teach workshops to other people with special needs so that they can learn to excel. For her the success will be in seeing her daughter value herself and being recognized for her abilities and skills as an artisan.

In this group: Irene, Eva, Otilia, Sara, Laura, Maria Rosa, Socorro Marcela, Silvia, Enriqueta Lourdes
