Bernard has been practicing mixed farming for seven years in Kitale town, western Kenya. His farm produces eggs which he sells at the local market. He also owns a motorbike which he uses for transportation to supplement his income. He says that his biggest challenge has been diseases that have been very costly to treat.

He recently repaid his previous loan from Juhudi Kilimo of 50,000KES and has requested this loan of 75,000KES to expand his poultry project. He says that with the proceeds from this project, his children are assured of a good education and food sustainability in the family. He would like to expand his farm in future to enable him to venture into dairy farming.

He is requesting Juhudi to shorten the loan processing period to enable clients to budget promptly and repay easily.

Bernard is 28 years old. He is married with two children, ages 2 and 6. His elder child is currently attending school.
