Lolango Plus Group's story

Bedi L., aged 38 and married, is the president of the Community Bank named “Lolango Plus,” which consists of 21 members united in solidarity to receive loans from Kiva through IMF HOPE RDC with the goal of developing their businesses.

Bedi started her business in 1999. She has been running a restaurant located west of the city of Kinshasa. She is a loyal client of IMF HOPE RDC who has already received five different loans and has repaid them properly.

She intends to use the next loan to increase the stock of her restaurant by buying one sack of flour, two bags of sugar, and beans with the aim of increasing profits. Each week, her business brings in a profit of $60.

Her ambition is to open a big restaurant in her area. Bedi has four children whose ages are between 8 and 20 years old. All of them go to school.
