Letecia's story

Letecia L. is from the village of Katipunan, Sinacaban, Misamis Occidental. She is 57 years old. Letecia is married and has two grown children. To make a living, Letecia raises crops. While not the only means for generating revenue, the main source of income for the business comes primarily from planting and harvesting a variety of vegetables for sale. Letecia has been engaged in her business for over five years and earns approximately 3,000 PHP a month for these activities.

In 2006, Letecia joined GDMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Letecia has successfully repaid a previous loan of 6,000 PHP from GDMPC. This previous loan was used to build capital for her business.

Letecia is requesting a new loan of 8,000 PHP which will be used to purchase fertilizers, such as manure. This loan will be the fourth loan taken out by Letecia from GDMPC. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to expand her business.
