Julius's story

Julius T. S. is thirty eight years old, married and has no children yet. His business is located at a busy residential area in Mombasa, Kenya. Mombasa is the coastal region of Kenya and is well known for its many many tourist attraction sites including the Indian Ocean white beaches.

He has been rearing and selling chickens for the local people and hotels for the past four years. He says that this business is profitable and that the major challenges he faces are lack of enough capital and the risk that disease could kill all his chicks. However, he works very hard to keep his business doing well.

He is using his loan of Kes 20,000 to buy more chicks to expand his business. He hopes to grow this business and to provide a comfortable life for his family. He describes himself as hardworking and customer friendly.
