A loan of $1,300 helped a member to buy stock items for her store.

Las Rosarinas Group's story

Nelly started selling snacks out of a small display case with just a few items like cookies, chocolates and beverages. With much effort over the last 7 years she has increased her working capital and her business has improved becoming “BODEGA YORDI,” a larger store with many more products. Now, she doesn’t just sell snacks; she also has other grocery items like rice, sugar, noodles and baked goods hoping to have everything to keep the customers that come to her store daily happy.

Income from the store makes it possible for her to see to extra expenses and mostly for the education of her four small children that are still in school. Later on she wants to go into the hardware business but for now she’s completely dedicated to her grocery store.

She will use this loan to stock up on general merchandise like groceries and beverages. As President of the “LAS ROSARINAS” group she wants to work and get ahead together with her fellow group members.
