Matilde Ines's story

Matilde Inés is a graphic designer who lives in Colombia's heroic city of Cartagena. There, in the "Geraldin Photography Studio", she does what she likes best: use Photoshop, restore old photos, design, stamp and mount photos, and do all manner of other things that have to do with the art of professional photography. She arranges photos to make mosaics for high school and university students around graduation time. She also makes ID cards for educational organizations, does printing, etc.

As the mother of two children who are 13 and 10 years old, Matilde has been able to manage her business in order to give her children a high-quality, basic education, so that in the future they can become successful professionals. Everyone in the Daniel Lemaitre neighborhood knows her for her contagious dynamism and for her working style, persistent and disciplined. This is her first loan from Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, and with her CrediKiva she will buy photography materials, including photo paper, PVC, design program, ID badge carrying cases, memory card readers, memory cards, tape and other necessary inputs to make her photos into the nicest possible memories for families.

Matilde says that for the past 12 years she has been taking photographs, but only 7 years ago did she acquire the equipment and gear to improve her work through better use of technology. Her main clients are the families who live in and around the neighborhood, as well as educational institutions from all over the city, for whom she makes ID cards, photographic memorabilia, photo printing, really everything that recalls a human being's pleasant or nostalgic moments in life. This is why she always pays close attention to dates of graduation, first Communions, and other social and family reunions that her clients invest in. Her greatest challenge is to buy a flash lighting system and umbrellas to give her photos higher quality; she could also use better printers and laminating machines. Her dream is to be able to travel with her daughters so that they can get to know all of Colombia and realize that their country is one of the most beautiful created by God.
