Long L., 32, is a vegetable wholesaler in the local market of her Takeo province. She is married with one child, who is still living at home, and her husband is a policeman. She typically makes about US$5 each day and would like a loan to expand her business. In order to increase her profits, she is asking for US$1200 to purchase vegetables in bulk and allocate them to small sellers in the village.
