Ben's story

Ben L., 37, is married and resides with her husband and three children in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia, an area known for Angkorean temples.

L. sells groceries, earning an income of about 5 USD per day. Her husband is a soldier, earning an income of 2.50 USD per day to help cover the family expenses. L. has to spend 70 USD on food, 10 USD on electricity and water supplies, and 60 USD on other necessary expenses every month.

L. is requesting a loan of 500 USD to purchase more groceries to stock the store. In the future, she would like to use any additional profit to repair her house. This is her first loan from CREDIT, a long-standing Kiva partner in Cambodia.
