Heang's story

Heang L., 30, is married and resides with her husband and two children in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia, an area known for its rubber plantations. Heang sells clothes and is a tailor, earning an income of about USD 4.3 per day. Her husband is a construction worker, earning an income of USD 5 per day to help cover the family expenses. Heang has to spend USD 75 on food, USD 1.5 on electricity and water supplies, and USD 15 on other necessary expenses every month.

She is requesting a loan of USD 1200 to purchase more clothes to resell, and in the future would like to use any additional profit to repair her house. This will be her first loan from CREDIT, a long-standing Kiva partner in Cambodia.
