A loan of $550 helped to stock up on medicinal products.

Romy's story

Romy, 45, is a mother who has a pleasant personality and loves small animals. She lives in her own house with her husband and two children. When her children were small domestic chores were her great passion but now that they have grown up she is lonely. Because of this, she decided to help out at a medical dispensary in her community. She learned how to treat minor injuries and to give injections and now she’s very dedicated to medicine.

However, when she found out that the dispensary was going to be closed she was very upset and thought that she could continue with it but from her house. She has now been providing this service for five years. What was most difficult for her was getting into the public institution where she is studying a technical pharmacy course. Later on she’d like to continue studying until finishing her career so that she can later sell all kinds of medicine and turn it into a pharmacy.

This is her 10th loan with MFP and she intends to continue to be punctual with her repayments because she wants to have access to future loans.

She is a very responsible member of her communal bank concerned for the wellbeing of her fellow members.

She will use the loan to buy antibiotics and pain relievers for inflammations so that she can tend to all of her customers.
