A loan of $850 helped a member to buy mesh to build pigsties.

Mujeres Unidas Group's story

The “Mujeres Unidas” (United Women) committee is composed of several neighbors from Yryvukua. All of the members are involved in independent activities like sales, fast food preparation, raising small farm animals, etc.

They are already in their second cycle and during all this time they have shown punctuality, solidarity and unity among themselves.

María Librada A. F. is group President. She is 25 years old and has two children. She is very enterprising. She is in her first cycle and thanks to the loan and help from her husband, Elvio, she now has her own kiosk and she raises animals like pigs, chickens, etc. But, her specialty is raising pigs and she’s asking for the loan because she wants to build better pigsties thus increasing production.
