In the photo are members of the “Alhamdulilai” Group. They are entrepreneurs running small scale businesses based in Makeni, a city in Northern Sierra Leone. With this loan, they will be able to expand their businesses, make more profit and consequently improve their standard of living.

The leader of this group is Fatmata T.. Fatmata is age 45. She was born in Makeni city where she now lives with her husband and five children. Her husband is a teacher and one of her children is attending secondary school. For 22 years now, Fatmata has been selling fried food and breads. She will use her share of this loan to expand her business by buying bread, eggs, etc.
