Shakeela's Group's story

Shakeela is a resident of Kasur which is a small city located in Punjab and famous for its tanneries industry in Pakistan. She has lived there in a 2 room brick house with her family for the last 8 years. She is an embroidery expert. She does different kinds of embroidery on clothes by special order. She is very creative in nature and crafts unique embroider designs which attract customers towards her work. Due to her quality work she receives regular orders every month. She is a mother of a daughter who is studying in 5th grade. She is very dedicated and sincere with her family and work and gives the required time and attention to them. She has applied for a loan from Kiva partner, Asasah for her embroidery business. With the loan, she will buy embroider items such as beads, colored thread and sketches in bulk quantity for her embroidery business. She has been doing this work for the last 10 years and is very confident that this investment will give a good result to her business.
