A loan of $1,200 helped finish building her restaurant.

Esperanza's story

Esperanza runs a restaurant and tea room. She has had it for two years. She is single and runs it with an employee and a family member. She is originally from the department of Beni. She decided to open her business as there are many residents from eastern Bolivia and she cooks typical dishes from the area, such as majadito (rice, dried meat, eggs and fried banana) or keperi (roast with garnish). She is renting at the moment. She wants to use the loan to improve the roof of the premises before the rainy season as it will be difficult to serve her customers in the current conditions. She is very young but very hadworking and wants her restaurant to be the best in town. She is very grateful to the organisation for the support received.
