Placida is 39 years old and lives in Primavera de Dura (a semi-urban area with an endangered environment in the outskirts of Guayaquil). She had a small beauty salon in part of her house.

After her husband left her, she had to start a business with her savings in order to support her son who is in school. She began giving haircuts to her neighbors and acquaintances. Her capital slowly grew and she was able to put a beauty salon in her home. She currently works from 8:00am to 4:00pm every day. She does each haircut starting at $1.50 depending on the length of the hair, and dyes and ironing are more.

With this loan, she would like to buy styling creams, dyes, and irons. In the future, she would like to expand her business into a store that would be well-suited to all of her customers.
