A loan of $725 helped buy chairs and an industrial gas stove.

Juan's story

Juan is 48 years old. He is married and lives with his two children in their own house. Ten years ago, he and his wife decided to open a tourist restaurant in their own home, since they had ample space and lived near the green spaces, and these circumstances permitted them to enter this business. His wife is the one who prepares the typical dishes, and furthermore, she is in charge of seeking contracts with customers, who generally place orders for them to prepare banquets, buffets, and lunches for the various events that occur. She also procures all the products and ingredients that she needs to prepare these typical dishes. Her ability to administer their business well has given it a great advantage so that it is reaching sustainability. For that reason, he has decided to increase his efforts in this business and obtain more profitable contracts. This is his first loan with MFP, but his wife has been one of the oldest members of her community bank. Because of temporary health reasons, her husband has assumed responsibility for the loan. He is very happy to know that he has financial support, since they know that he is responsible in his payments. Furthermore, he is grateful to be part of his community bank because all its members are very united people. At the same time, he is thankful to the people who will be granters of the loan that he is applying for, since it will be very useful to him in the progress of his business. With the loan that he is seeking, he will buy chairs so that he can stop renting them, and he also wants to buy an industrial gas stove.
