A loan of $225 helped purchase products to continue making stews.

Lidia's story

Lidia is 59 years old and lives with her two children in her own home. For 11 years she has worked making typical local foods in her home, which she set up as a restaurant. Sales of her stews increase on the weekends, and Lidia is happy because her customers hire her to make appetizers and other dishes for social events. The work is very gratifying for her, especially if her children help her, since it takes time and dedication to prepare her appetizers. It is a great satisfaction for Lidia to work at what she considers her passion. Her earnings also make it worth her effort, and for this reason her goal for the future is to improve her kitchen with better equipment.

This is Lidia's ninth loan with MFP. She is very happy to know that she has financial support because she is responsible about her payments. She is also grateful to be part of her communal bank because all the members are very close-knit. She would also like to thank the people who made this loan possible because it will be very helpful to her in the growth of her business. Lidia will use this loan to buy the ingredients for her meals.
