A loan of $650 helped purchase of jewelry and "pagnes".

Akpéné's story

This lady is 40 years old and has an income-generating activity selling (on a retail basis) jewelry and "pagnes" (a West African term for very colourful pieces of fabric). She gets her supplies in Accra. She has been carrying out this business since 2004 and her customer base is predominantly feminine. With the end-of-year festivities approaching she would like to increase her income in order to make more profit. She is requesting a loan from WAGES to buy ten "hi-target pagnes", five "GTP pagnes" and jewelry.
