Gina's story

Gina R. is from the village of San Jose. She is 42 years old. Gina is married and has four school-aged children. To make a living, Gina plants and harvests rice for sale. Gina has been engaged in her business for more than 25 years and earns approximately 37000 PHP per crop.

In 2006, Gina joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve her business and living situation. Gina has successfully repaid a previous loan of 32000 PHP from ASKI. This previous loan was used to purchase additional seeds, seedlings and young crops to raise. Gina is requesting a new loan of 35000 PHP, which she will use to purchase fertilizers such as manure. This will be the tenth loan Gina has taken from ASKI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the loan to improve and expand her business.
