A loan of $500 helped to buy more groceries and goods to sell.

San's story

San S., 42, is married and resides with her husband and four children in Kampong Chnang Province, Cambodia: an area known for palm products. S. sells groceries, earning an income of about USD 2.5 per day. Her husband is a taxi driver, earning an income of about 3 per day. The family has to spend USD 44 on food, USD 8 on electricity and water supplies, and USD 15 on other necessary expenses every month.

S. is requesting a loan of USD 500 to purchase more groceries to stock the store. In the future, she would like to use any additional profit to repair her house. This is her first loan from CREDIT, a long-standing Kiva partner in Cambodia.

S.'s husband appears in the photograph because S. is not available.
