Chhern's story

Chhern V., 62, is married and resides with his wife and child in Phnom Penh City, Cambodia: an area known for being the most populated area in the country. V. is a machanic, earning an income of about USD 2 per day. His wife repairs motorcycles, earning an income of about USD 2 per day. The family has to spend USD 75 on food, USD 5 on electricity and water supplies, and USD 10 on other necessary expenses every month. V. is requesting a loan of USD 500 to purchase spare parts to repair motorcycles and machines. In the future, he would like to use any additional profit to repair his house.
