A loan of $300 helped purchase additional beauty products and clothing to sell.

Mirian Janeth's story

Mirian is twenty-one years old. She is single and has no children. She lives with family members in Pedregal Grande in the region of Piura. This is an agricultural region. The majority of the population are low income agricultural workers or farmers.

For the last two years Mirian has sold clothing and beauty products from her home. She makes sales either by anticipating the demand or by sharing the company catalog with the potential buyer and taking orders. She feels confident in her ongoing ability to anticipate her client’s needs and continue the business.

She is therefore requesting a ten month loan of 800 PEN in order to expand her inventory and fill the additional orders of her customers. She has a number of loyal customers and she hopes to expand her clientele.

Mirian has one outstanding credit with another institution, which the credit analysis of Alternativa deems to be reasonable and within her ability to repay. She has a good level of liquidity and business capital which she will use along with the new loan to further expand her business.
