A loan of $300 helped to buy materials to improve the efficiency of her shoe repair business.

Eugenia's story

Eugenia, age 38, is an unassuming and hard-working woman. She lives with her life partner, 42 year old Oswaldo. They have four children, but they only live with three of them. Marilu is 18, Wilfredo is 15, and Genesis is 1 year old. They live in their own house in Vista Hermosa (in the Peruvian mountains).

She does various activities to support her family. One of those activities is farming on the land she inherited from her parents. Every week-end she takes care of her potato crop. However, what Eugenia likes the most is working in her shoe repair shop, which in in the central area of the city. She has been doing that for 19 years. She has a continual flow of customers because her work is very good. Later, she plans on buying construction material to build a house on the land that she has in the city. That way it will be easier for her to get about.

This is her fifth loan with MFP. As an active member of her communal bank, she is very happy to be able to share their successful experiences. She will use the loan she is requesting to buy materials for her shoe repair business.
