Angel Alberto's story

Angel Alberto C. C. is 50 years old, married, and lives with his wife and single children in the canton of Ventanas in Los Ríos Province. He has nine children.

Angel belongs to the Communal Bank “Nueva Inspiración” (New Inspiration), which is in the Anchoveta precinct of the parish of Puerto Pechiche in Pueblo Viejo canton. The members of the group engage in short cycle agriculture, mostly growing corn, rice, and black-eyed peas. This Communal Bank has 13 members.

Angel is a short cycle farmer who grows corn, rice and beans. He makes his purchases in Guayaquil and then sells his products from a store in his house and at the market in Ventanas.

He is requesting a loan so that he can buy more supplies to expand his business. With the help he will be receiving through this loan, Angel will be able to acquire necessities. His dream is to continue farming so that he can have money to purchase a car.

Angel likes to engage in sports.
