Hoa's story

Hoa K., 38, is married and resides with her husband and three children in Takeo Province, Cambodia, an area known for pre-Angkorean temples. K. sells brooms, earning an income of $2 per day. Her husband is a carpenter, earning an income of about $4 per day. The family has to spend $45 on food, $5 on electricity supply and $25 on other necessary expenses every month.

K. is requesting a loan of $700 to purchase a motorbike for her husband to commute to work. In the future, she would like to use any additional profit to repair her house. This is her first loan from CREDIT, a long-standing Kiva partner in Cambodia.
