Keo's story

Keo C., 56, is married and resides with her husband and two children in Takeo Province, Cambodia, an area known for pre-angkorean Temples. C. produces traditional hummocks to sell, earning an income of USD 2 per day. Her husband is a construction worker, earning an income of about USD 2 per day. Two of her children are employed, earning an income of about USD 3 each per day to help cover the family expenses. The family has to spend USD 35 on food, USD 3 on electricity supply, and USD 25 on other necessary expenses every month.

C. is now requesting her first loan from CREDIT, a long-standing Kiva partner in Cambodia, for USD 1200 to open a beauty salon. In the future, she would like to use any additional profits to repair her house.
