Eleazar's story

Elearzar S., 35 years old, lives in the region of Santa Rosa. He is married and his family includes Josue, three years old, Anielka, one year old and Roberto, who is 13 years old and is in the sixth grade. After his studies, Roberto helps his papá with the household chores and takes care of the kids. Señor S. is the owner of a property 50 Mzs, in the region of Santa Rosa in Serrano, which has good technical conditions for the development of his inventory of cattle. There is a corral, a pasture area divided into smaller parts, and Aguaje fruit all the time. Also, Elearzar is the owner of his cattle, he earns his income throughout the year through the sale of milk and cheese and by marketing his livestock. He also receives income from other products from his ranch such as roots, tubers and basic grains. He is seeking his second loan from the microfinance institution, AFODENIC, through the Kiva program in order to by two cows for milking, he is using six cows as collateral. This client has the capacity and willingness to pay, he completed his previous loan in a timely manner. He is grateful to the institution and expects to continue to benefit. His greatest dream is to increase his inventory of cattle to earn greater income and in this way to bring better living conditions to his family.
